The period for claiming back RFID wristband credit begins on Tuesday May 14th at 9am and will end on Tuesday May 28th at 11.59pm. You must claim your refund during this time period. Here's how!
REGISTER YOUR CASHLESS WRISTBAND
Before the festival you must register your cashless wristband below:
If you purchased 2 or more Participant Tickets in the same order, then you must first log into Universe and transfer each extra ticket to the name/email of the person who the ticket will be given to. Here's easy step-by-step instructions on how to transfer tickets.
WHAT IS A CASHLESS WRISTBAND?
A cashless wristband is a wristband with an RFID chip in it that acts as your electronic wallet, allowing you to make purchases without the hassle of token, cash or card transactions.
HOW DO I GET MY WRISTBAND?
Onsite at the event, you will be able to collect your cashless wristband at registration, your online credit purchase will be loaded onto your wristband at this point. Onsite there will be multiple top-up stations available if your balance is running low and you want to add more credits - they will clearly be indicated.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Your cashless wristband is used to pay for food, drinks and merchandise, throughout the festival. You can load credits onto your wristband online before you arrive or at one of the onsite top-up points in the Festival. After ordering, you simply tap your wristband against one of the readers located at each point of sale. Once the transaction is confirmed, the amount is automatically deducted from your wristband’s balance.
DO I HAVE TO USE THIS SYSTEM?
Yes, FORM will be completely cashless this year. Bars, food vendors and concession stands will only accept payment made with cashless wristbands.
CAN I PAY WITH CASH OR CARD INSTEAD OF WITH MY WRISTBAND?
No. FORM is a fully cashless festival, which means that the only way of paying for anything is with your wristband.
HOW DO I PUT CREDIT ON MY WRISTBAND?
Either purchase credits before the event, or wait until you’re inside the festival gates and load your wristband with credit at any one of the top-up stations around the venue.
SHOULD I PRINT MY ENTRANCE TICKET?
You can print it, but make sure it is not damaged so that we can read it with our scanners. You can also show it on your phone, but make sure your brightness is up.
If you are purchasing multiple tickets for you and your family/friends, be sure to hand out the correct code to each person, as credits can only be applied to a wristband once.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I RUN OUT OF CREDIT?
Don’t worry, if you run out, you can always reload your wristband with credit, as many times as you’d like, with no additional fee.
HOW DO I KEEP TRACK OF MY BALANCE?
You will be able to check the balance of your wristband whenever you want, at any bar, vendor, top-up station, or Customer Service point. Simply ask for a balance check.
CAN I SHARE MY WRISTBAND WITH A FRIEND?
No, because each RFID tag on each wristband is associated with one individual customer. Wristbands that have been removed, cut, or visibly tampered with will not be accepted as valid.
CAN I INVITE MY FRIENDS BY PAYING FOR THEIR GOODS?
Of course! Your friends will be more than happy for you to buy them a drink with your wristband.
WHAT’S SO GREAT ABOUT THESE WRISTBANDS?
RFID wristbands present many great benefits to YOU. You’ll save loads of time as RFID
significantly reduces queues at vendors and bars. Also, you won’t have to worry about counting and keeping track of cash or tokens or waiting for your card transaction to be accepted. It’s also super easy to use and completely waterproof!
CAN LOST OR STOLEN WRISTBANDS BE TRACKED?
If your wristband is stolen off your wrist (very unlikely) or gets lost (also very unlikely) you can get a replacement. However, please keep in mind that your wristband is similar to cash, if you lose it, you can’t get it back. This means we can issue a new wristband, but your credit will be lost. None of your personal data is stored on the wristband, so don’t worry about that.
CAN MY MOVEMENT BE TRACKED WITH RFID TECHNOLOGY?
No, it can’t. The RFID wristbands will not be equipped with GPS technology and therefore it will be impossible to track your movement.
WHAT IF I HAVE LEFTOVER CREDIT WHEN THE FESTIVAL ENDS?
Don’t worry! Before leaving the site you can simply head to one of the Top Up stations and ask for a refund of your balance. Or alternatively you can simply access your online account that you created to purchase credits before the festival and request a refund directly into your bank account. Don’t worry if you didn’t create an account before the event, you will be able to register your wristband and create an account post event to request your remaining balance refunded.
